Hurricane Beryl Power Outage Beginning July 8, 2024 

MidSouth Electric Cooperative – Navasota, TX – July 9, 2024 – 10:00 P.M. 

MidSouth has restored 64% of the affected meters since restoration began following the direct hit of Hurricane Beryl to our service territory. To date, we have restored 18,790 meters. 

MidSouth will continue to strategically maneuver through the territory for safe, effective and efficient restoration of power to every home and business we serve. We are targeting system restoration by 10:00 P.M. Thursday, July 11.  

Hurricane Beryl caused extensive damage that requires restoration in many locations, prior to fully energizing lines. Although destruction may not be visible in your area, please know there can be miles of line between your meter and the substation. 

Members without power are encouraged to make alternative arrangements if requiring electricity for medical necessity. 

This work takes time to safely perform, ensuring every lineman and right-of-way worker goes home to their families when this is over. Your patience is much appreciated.
