Power Outage Beginning June 21, 2023 at 7:15 P.M.

Navasota, TX – June 21, 2023 – 11:00 P.M.

The damage caused by the severe storm on June 21^st, 2023 has caused extensive damage to our distribution system. Contract linemen crews and right of way crews have been called into service along with the MidSouth operations crew.  Lines are tangled in large trees, poles and crossarms are broken, and equipment has been damaged by lightning. Restoration efforts are challenging, and our crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to all members.  Members affected are encouraged to make alternative arrangements if they require electricity for medical equipment.

Damage assessment is underway while crews are actively working so preparations can be made to efficiently make repairs throughout the MidSouth system. The total number of meters affected by the storm is approximately 11,800.  Accurate restoration times can not be given until the damage has been thoroughly evaluated.
